PETS AND THEIR SAFETY
Safety for your pets is paramount when dealing with gophers. All gophers carry tapeworm, they can also have rabies, and a host of other serious and deadly diseases. Allowing your dog or cat to chase and kill gophers is not recommended. Gophers will bite and many pets suffer the consequences of those attacks, when gophers take a chunk out of the nose or face. Additionally, gophers carry fleas, the fleas carry diseases as well. The fleas jump onto your pet and bring those diseases into your home.
Never risk the health and safety of your family and pets by allowing your pets to chase and kill gophers. The soil that gophers are digging in, is always contaminated and should be handled with caution. Always use an anti-bacterial soap after handling the dirt and any gophers.
