We are 100% GREEN, ENVIRONMENTALLY SAFE, and NON-TOXIC
Unfortunately, there are those individuals in Arizona and other states that are so corrupt, that they want to control the industry by limiting who can be in business and those who cannot.
Here in Arizona, THE GOPHER GETTERS was a victim to corrupt government agencies and those in the pest control profession. Certain individuals attacked this company and took everything from us. What they did is called ECONOMIC PROTECTIONISM. What is this? It's where one group will keep someone from being gainfully employed in their profession. It's where this government agency did everything to take away our business with threats of criminal action, suits and jail time.
What did we do?
They claim we are practicing pest control without a license.
What do we do and continue to do?
We are 100% GREEN, non-toxic and poison free! Not once has THE GOPHER GETTERS EVER USED ANYTHING OTHER THAN TRAPS FOR GOPHERS! These individuals want to force us to use their products, which will line their pockets.
Who regulates us? GAME AND FISH DEPARTMENT a FEDERAL agency.
The EPA states that each state must provide to the public fair and balanced information and services, that it can't be "one-sided". Arizona however, is exactly that. While the two prior agencies have been disbanded and are now under the Arizona Department of Agriculture, it appears as though those same individuals are back at it once again.
These individuals are trying to once again have the word "device" inserted into their rules, so that anyone using any type of "device" even if chemical free, is still practicing pest control without a pest control license.
We however are in fact LICENSED under a higher authority, Arizona Game and Fish, which is a Federal Agency. This time around, we will be fighting to protect this company. Before, we were not aware of laws to protect our company. Grandfather laws alone bar those from harassment, yet they continue to do so today.
We have found that these big dollar companies have already infiltrated this new agency, and are re-creating the old board, rules and corrupt entity it was before. It's as if this money machine is able to eat up all within it's path. The new board has no women, no minorities and certainly no individuals that offer chemical, poison and toxic free services.
What's on the horizon?
If this new agency follows in the same footsteps as those before, then The Gopher Getters will take legal action against all those who are trying to harm this company. We have the legal right to have fair access and rights to earn an income in this country and state, and we will fight against this corrupt group of individuals whom are trying to over-regulate this state, and it's people.
These out of control individuals are attempting to take away the rights of Arizonan's by making household items illegal for us to purchase and use in our own homes. They are after housekeepers, maids, those who weed, garden, clean fish tanks and just about everyone else. If there's money to be made, they are after it and those who have it.
Take a stand with us and take interest in what is really going on with this agency that is being overrun with the same individuals that corrupted the two prior agencies. Demand that an entirely new board be created, that is fair and balanced.
A new fair and balanced board should have one individual from the Pest Control Industry (but not one who has already served on any prior pest control board), someone from a Chemical Free/NonToxic company, there should be someone from each of the following industries; cattle, agriculture/farming, landscaping, a parent, and someone from the medical field. By having these individuals from these fields, then a more balanced regulatory agency will prevail. As it is, and has been, these powerful pest control companies are able to do anything they want, including violate laws and destroy businesses and lives.

The Gopher Getters has many friends in the Pest Control industry. Those wonderful folks have been so helpful in providing information and assistance throughout the years of battling these corrupt individuals.
We hope to continue working with these fine people and hopefully in time, those who are hurting the industry will be pushed out or limited in what they can do. It's time that ALL companies be treated fairly and not discriminated by any agency that regulates them.
