THE HISTORY OF THE GOPHER GETTERS
We are 100% GREEN, ENVIRONMENTALLY SAFE, and NON-TOXIC
The Gopher Getters originally began in name back in 1966. Our family had been trapping gophers for many years prior to that for generations on farms, around homes and in large areas of agricultural settings. Gophers are continually a major problem on farms and ranches because of the wide, deep and far-reaching tunneling and destruction that they do. Gophers tunnel under concrete ditches and cause them to blow-out and roads to collapse. Fields can lose millions of gallons of water because of one gopher. Over the years, many have tried to find ways to kill gophers; chemicals, poisons, flammables, water, flares, exhausts, gum, and even explosive devices. The problem is that gophers do tunnel, not burrow. There is a major difference between the two. Another issue is that gophers easily flip inside the tunnel at the first sign of disturbance and danger, and quickly block off the entire tunnel. We have watched this happen with not only one gopher, but a group, working together. These are social creatures and do have multiple generations living within a large colony. There have been massive damages throughout the years because of pocket gophers, throughout the United States. These are extremely destructive rodents and can destroy landscaping and foundations of pools, homes and other structures.
The only true method of eliminating these rodents is by trapping. Nothing else will work. Chasing gophers off for a short time, only to have them return with a vengeance is NOT eliminating them. If ANYONE claims they are killing the gophers in their sales pitch to you, make them put in writing that they will actually show you the dead gophers. If they can't do this, call someone else.
A personal message to you:
I want to thank you for visiting our web site, and your interest in the trapping services we offer. When you contact our company, we will try and schedule you in as quickly as possible, so we can get traps set immediately. The best thing to do as soon as you see any gopher activity; mounds, holes, chewed on plants, is to call us. Since I was a little girl, I was taught by my father to work hard and as quickly as possible to trap gophers before more damages occur and they multiply. Amazingly, that was over 44 years ago! He taught me that if I work hard and fast, give a fair and honest price for the work I do, people would appreciate the services I provide. I have been fortunate to have many, many clients over the years that have been wonderful to our company. Thank you to all for the decades you have trusted us and for your many referrals. We want to continue being here for you for many more years to come, especially during these tough economic times. For all of you whom we haven't had the opportunity yet to help, I want to welcome you to the hardest working company in the country!
