Back when Arizona was paying 5� per gopher tail, this was the early beginnings of The Gopher Getters�1967. In 1987, The Gopher Getters filed for the trade name and opened officially for business. As of February 4, 2005, we became The Gopher Getters, LLC�1967. We have always worked hard for our clients and kept our prices low.
In 1991, after multiple tragedies struck, we were attacked by an Arizona state agency who over-stepped their boundaries. Since our return, we've found that the discrimination is continuing and we're now fighting this injustice. We have the right to the American Dream! They do not have the right to force us out of business, not to communicate with out clients, access to our property and publishing our works. Years ago, this agency forced us close and the end result was the loss of our home, property, vehicles, business, clients and reputation. Even after 14 years, this agency is trying to force their regulations on us. They handle pesticides, we don't! We've never used them and they know it! Our family has been trapping gophers for generations and we have never used any chemicals, poisons, baits, lures, gases, explosives, not even water! Trapping is all we do and we do it quickly, while protecting the environment. We have a combined 70+ years of hands-on experience in our trapping services.
We work to help the public understand the life of a gopher, based on facts. We have been clearing up the years of misinformation that has been passed from neighbor to neighbor and people who are writing without doing the research. Gophers are complex mammals that deserve respect. You would be surprised to learn how many people try to physically pick up a gopher, to "relocate" it. We know exactly what to expect from gophers, in all conditions, including within their dens and habitats. In cases where we are able to recover live and healthy gophers, we immediately transfer them to a licensed wildlife facility that will be able to utilize the gophers for the rehabilitation of injured great birds, such as; hawks, owls and even eagles. These gophers are perfect for these great birds to re-train on hunting in the wild, once released.
We have worked in many environments; schools, golf courses, agricultural, residential, parks, resorts, construction zones, under homes, around and under roads and highways, even irrigation canals.
We don't handle, trap or transport rabbits, snakes, birds, badgers, coyotes, bears, squirrels, skunks or anything but gophers. If you need a referral to a Wildlife Service Professional, we will be happy to give you one. If you have bugs, spiders and anything creepy and crawly, DO NOT ASK US TO DO IT!
